Kowa BD II 10x42 Wide Angle Binoculars offer several advances for this binocular class, including the widest field of view we've ever seen on a 10x42 roof prism binocular: 378' at 1000 yards! Combine this with a 5.9' close focus and you have the start of an excellent birding and insect-watching optic. But Kowa didn't stop there. The BD II XD Prominar objective lenses use ED glass rich in fluorite crystal for greatly reduced chromatic aberration, phase- and reflective coated prisms, and Kowa's multi-layered anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass lens surfaces. The external lens surfaces have Kowa's KR coatings to repel water and dirt.
